Bahr wins MSU Faculty Research Award
|

Psaume 1 to be performed at composers' conference

Psaume 1, an a cappella choral work (SATB), will be performed at the Society of Composers, Inc., Region VI Conference. The conference will be held at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO, February 8-10, 2007. It will be hosted by Dr. Eric Honour. My work will be on the 3pm, February 8th concert in Hart Recital Hall. It will be performed by the University Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Stephen Kingbury.

Baker to perform Song of Moses

Dr. Jason Baker will perform Song of Moses, a solo snare piece by Jason Bahr. The performance will take place on February 12th on the campus of Sam Houston University.

Work for treble choir a part of composers' conference in Iowa

When We Are Going, a work for treble choir (SA), violin and organ, will be performed as a part of the Society of Composers, Inc., Region V Conference at Clarke College in Dubuque, IA. The conference will be hosted by Dr. Amy Dunker, and will take place February 22-24, 2007.

Ricardo Souza to perform Contemplations

Ricardo Souza will perform Contemplations of Darkness and Light, a work for solo vibraphone, on a concert February 24th, 2007. I wrote the work especially for Ricardo. His concert will be on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, in Pittman Recital Hall at 8pm. Contemplations of Darkness and Light is published by Keyboard Percussion Publications.

Riggs to Premiere Solo English Horn Work by Bahr

Dr. Krista Riggs, faculty member at California State University at Fresno, will premiere 'soliloquy' by Jason Bahr. The concert will be Thursday, April 12, 2007 in Wahlberg Recital Hall on the campus of California State University Fresno. The concert is free an open to the public, and begins at 8:00pm.

Soprano/Piano duo to perform songs by Bahr

Lise Uhl, soprano, and Andy Hudson, piano, will perform several songs by Jason Bahr as a part of a concert in London, England. The concert will be on April 19, 2007. More details soon.

newEar to perform cryptic omens

newEar, Kansas City's professional new music ensemble, will perform cryptic omens...ritual echoes as a part of their April 28th concert. The six-minute work is scored for 'cello, piano and percussion. For details, visit www.newear.org.
